Here is another similar cover i have analysed from Vibe which features Kendrick Lamar which i have identified the codes and conventions, one being the sky line which is used in a similar way much like the last where it emphasizes the story line. Also being used is the left third which allows people to recognize the magazine. The house style is also used effectively again as it is all linked together in a color scheme. Kendrick's body language is quite dominant which makes it seem like he is higher than us but also because his head is placed quite high up. Kendrick also gives us direct mode of address.

Here is my analysis of vibes magazine featuring Nicki Minaj where i have analysed the codes and conventions of the front cover. I have identified the key conventions of the magazine such as the skyline, which emphasizes the mast head and story, the house style, which allows the magazine to all fit together with a common color and also the anchorage text which draws us into the main cover line. The use of having a large amount of codes and conventions on the front cover draws audiences in whilst also having a direct mode of address from Nicki to suggest she is calling us in.

Here i have analysed a music magazine cover which features Katy Perry. I have found some certain things within the cover such as cover lines, Anchorage text and the left third. I feel the conventions are really effective such as the house style as it really brings out the theme of her outfit and also how she is giving direct address into the camera which allows her to engage the audience. The use of having the other cover lines allow the audience to see what else is involved in the magazine. The use of having a symbiotic relationship allows it to not just show Katy Perry but also apart of the headline. Katy's body language is also quite sweet and humble and isn't quite out of the box so it fits in with the house style of the magazine as it is bright and sweet.

The next magazine cover is on Billboard magazine which features Taylor Swift. The image of Taylor also fits in with the color scheme as Taylor isn't  wearing any colors that don't fit into to cover. I also like this cover as it is all based around Taylor and she is the main focus of the magazine so it shows that this is benefiting Taylor.

Magazine Cover Analysis 2.

Here is a cover featuring Cheryl Cole. I like this one because it has a nice color scheme and it fits in with how Cheryl is pictured. It also promotes her in a good way using the words 'Cheryl Cole Rocks' which suggests this is a piece to benefit her and will promote her in a good way. It is also the UK's biggest music magazine which is also good promotion for Cheryl.

For my next blog i will be talking about icons of the music industry portrayed on the front cover of a magazine. Here we see pop princess Rihanna on the front cover of a magazine.I like this cover as it is clear who the focus of the magazine is on and portrays Rihanna in a nice, glorious way.
